The suffix gãh which indicates "place", appears in many Persian words.

Another popular suffix is nãme. Nãme is old Persian for book (e.g. šahnãme ). In modern Persian nãme means letter (the one you put in an envelope and mail). But the original meaning is still used as a suffix:

šenãs+nãme		Identity card, Birth certificate
tarãz+nãme		Balance sheet
govãhi+nãme		License (driving), certificate (training)
